Fame is the Spur

This Story: Series 1, Episode 5
Airdate: 4 Mar 1993
Written by Peter Tilbury
Directed John Birkin

Notes

  • While this isn’t exactly relative to this episode, I needed a note for this one.  Roger Griffiths (Everton) was in an episode of Doctor Who.  Specifically, 2008’s “Planet of the Ood” as “Commander Kess”.

In this ep, Gareth has to deal with people there to film in his kitchen - again for publicity, something he doesn't like. There's a funny subplot here where Gareth blurts out the name Gloria in his sleep, & Janice tries to pic.twitter.com/5MO9OqD4Sf

find out what he meant. Of the first series, this is probably the weakest ep. Not that it's bad or anything, I laughed several times, but the plot points feel like they've been done before, and we're only in ep 5. pic.twitter.com/Rrip9S8GQ2

Roger Griffiths (Chef’s Everton) as Kess in Doctor Who.
