To Boldly Go

This Story: Episodes 10 & 11
Trek Overall: Not canon, so no official count.
Airdate: 18 Oct & 13 Nov 2017
Teleplay by Robert J. Sawyer (parts 1 & 2) and James Kerwin (part 2 only)
Story by Vic Mignogna & James Kerwin and Robert J. Sawye
Directed by James Kerwin

Notes

  • These two episodes have Nicola Bryant (Doctor Who) as a guest star.
  • Amy Rydell plays the Romulan commander, a character that was originated in the TOS episode “The Enterprise Incident“.  In the former episode, the commander was played by Joanne Linville, the real life mother of Rydell.
  • There is an amusing reference back to “Where No Man Has Gone Before“, and the mistake of “James R. Kirk” on the tombstone from that episode.

STC's penultimate ep is part 1 of a 2 part finale with one of my fav Doctor Who people in it - @TheNicolaBryant. It's a story that wraps up the 5 year mission of Star Trek, visiting several pic.twitter.com/8xwafPuL5B

bits from the past. This includes psionic abilities from the 2nd pilot & the Romulan commander from The Enterprise Incident. It's not all old stuff, there's a new plot too. Good cliffhanger. pic.twitter.com/8QRF07FEvJ

Hey STC fans! Did you know that Amy Rydell, our Romulan Commander in our 2 part series finale was the exact same age as her mother, Joanne Linville was when she played the Romulan Commander in The Original Series? Joanne even coached Amy so her portrayal would be spot on! pic.twitter.com/467BWvYt8w

STC wraps up with this ep that wraps up the Hood arc, the cliffhanger from Pt 1, as well as the original 5 year mission of the Enterprise in general. There's a lot of action in this ep, far pic.twitter.com/fQenm2dsah

more than usual than in TOS. We see the Enterprise finish its 5 year mission and sets up the characters and the crew for the events of the first movie. Really enjoyable ep & series. pic.twitter.com/c9cLvXMfGZ

A huge thank you to Vic Mignogna and all those who created Star Trek Continues. As someone who grew up with TOS, and knew it like the back of my hand, to get these 11 episodes was special! pic.twitter.com/rgOHC8TaWW

We get some “Kirk rolling” in before the show is over.
