Notes
- Running Decon Gel Scene Appearances: T’Pol (2), Trip (2), Hoshi (1), Malcolm (1). No scene this episode.
- The first episode of Season 2 to be produced, but was aired second mostly due to the minimal cast needed.
- Several of the main cast do not appear: Reed, Phlox, Mayweather, Sato.
- The last episode (of fourteen in a row) with a writing, story, or teleplay credit to Rick Berman & Brannon Braga. That’s a record across all incarnations of Star Trek.
- The story of how velcro was invented differs greatly from the real life invention of that.
- In the episode, the TV show “I Love Lucy” is mentioned. That’s hilarious as Lucille Ball’s Desilu Studios originally produced Star Trek back in the 60’s.
- Trip makes mention of a statue at the place that Humans and Vulcans first met. This is a Star Trek: First Contact reference where Barclay talks about that. We finally get to SEE the statue in the Lower Decks episode “Grounded“.
- J Paul Boehmer plays the Vulcan Mestral here. He’s also the titular Borg drone in “Drone” (named ‘One’), a Cardassian named Vernal from DS9’s “Tacking Into the Wind“, a Nazi SS character (“Kapitan”) in Voyager’s “The Killing Game” , and two different Nazi SS characters in the Enterprise episodes “Zero Hour” and “Storm Front“.
- Stron is played by Michael Krawic. He was also Samuels in DS9’s “The Maquis Pt I” and Rahmin in Voyager’s “Day of Honor“.
- A Vulcan Captain is played by David Selburg. He was also Whalen in TNG’s “The Big Goodbye“, Syrus in TNG’s “Frame of Mind“, & an Ocampan named Toscat in Voyager’s “Caretaker“.
- Baseball is referenced here.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Enterprise Episode 28 - Carbon Creek - 25 Sep 2002 2/2a structurally different story. The past part shows a different of Vulcans with some accidental (to them) humor. The current part of this shows T'Pol bonding with her crewmates - nice to see. Good change of pace ep.
