Notes

• David Gerrold’s second writing credit for the original series – the first being “The Trouble With Tribbles“, of course.
• The bed Kirk sleeps in was the same one used in “The Empath“, which is visually an enlarged version of an agonizer from “Mirror Mirror“.
• The goggles worn by the miners were re-used in “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan” when one of them was worn by Khan when he first meets Chekov.
• Stratos (the original version) was designed by Matt Jefferies.
• The transporter pad that Kirk & Spock land on when they first beam down appears to be a prop first used in “Mirror, Mirror” where that planet’s council was in their appearance.
