Hollow Pursuits

This Story: Season 3 Episode 21 (production code 169)
TNG Overall: Episode 69
Trek Overall: Story 169, Episode 171
Airdate: 30 Apr 1990
Written by Sally Caves
Directed by Cliff Bole

Notes

  • The first episode with Dwight Schultz’ Reginald Barclay.
  • There is a reference to a flux capacitor in this episode, it was apparently a mistake by Dwight Schultz that made it through to final.
  • Geordi’s “relationship” with hologram Leah Brahms from “Booby Trap” is referenced here.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek TNG Ep 69 - Hollow Pursuits - 30 Apr 1990 1/2 The first ep with the A-Team's Dwight Schultz as Reg Barclay - a guy with a holodeck addition. He starts off this ep by being pretty pathetic, but that's necessary given where the character goes. The TNG version was more sad

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek TNG Ep 69 - Hollow Pursuits - 30 Apr 1990 2/2 than the VOY version. The Reg created versions of the Ent crew are hilarious in their over-the-topness. I do like the Barclay character, but this first one isn't the best with him. Picard saying Broccoli is funny as hell.
