Notes

  • The first episode of the series.
  • This is a direct sequel to the TOS episode “Who Mourns for Adonais?“
  • Apollo is played here by Michael Forest – the same actor who played Apollo in 1967.
  • Apollo’s wife Athena is played by Diana Hale – the real life wife of Michael Forest.
  • Implies Scotty invented the holodeck, which is shown more in the form we knew in Next Generation onwards vs the version we saw in the TAS episode “The Practical Joker” (as the Rec Room).

A direct sequel to "Who Mourns for Adonais" w/ Michael Forest again as Apollo after 46 yrs. There's an on screen explanation for the age of Forest in real life, which I liked. Apollo arrives pic.twitter.com/co8HrYCpng

seeking a place to life out his life, then die. He of course tries to demand worship in the middle of the story, that's the drama that gets us through. Good emotional wrap-up at the end. pic.twitter.com/IzNK8EsK7e

I just started my "Marathon" of Star @TrekContinues.

If you've never seen this & are a fan of OG Star Trek, you should watch this. In the first 5 mins, you just FEEL this is right. Vic, I think you answer STC social media posts - amazing job, this just oozes that "TOS feel". pic.twitter.com/Qgk3zgWg7q
