Notes
- The only episode of the original series to have no scenes on the Enterprise sets. All of this episode takes place off the ship.
- Sulu, Uhura, Chekov, & Scotty do not appear in the episode (although Scotty has a few voice overs). It’s the only episode that has just Kirk, Spock, & McCoy on screen.
- The atavacrhon device is just the re-used prop of Gary Seven’s computer from “Assignment: Earth“.
- The events of this episode are mentioned briefly in the animated series episode “The Counter-Clock Incident“.
- The man who played Mr. Atoz (Ian Wolfe) was in Star Trek previously, as “Septimus” in “Bread and Circuses“.

Vulcans had around that time in their history. This allowed Spock to have emotions and feel for a woman also trapped there (Hello Zarabeth!). Kirk being trapped was less interesting than Spock - good ep. pic.twitter.com/kNPTjsOCdA
